1) Ensure all sections work towards the targeted commissioning schedule.
2) Proficient with the testing procedures and applicable rules and regulations of regulatory bodies.
3) Decide in consultation with Shipyard Manager / Commissioning Manager on the manpower requirements.
4) Arrange for facilities and tools/ meters/ instruments for the job.
5) Provide supervision and deploy manpower to perform the operational tasks.
6) Familiar with test memos and manuals.
7) Ensure incoming equipment meet the purchase specifications.
8) Schedule Service Engineers’ requirements and inform them of the test dates as well as to take charge and monitor their works until completion.
9) Coordinate for any required joint inspections.
10) Train new joiners for Completion management system, including punch list control, database set up and preservation schedule
11) Prepare system/ sub-system, and mark up engineering documents in line with test plan and activities
12) Review the commissioning work processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
13) Coordinate the testing / commissioning requirements with Engineering, Estimating & Analysis, Project Manager and Quality Assurance departments.
14) Coordinate with all sections for testing requirements.
15) Liaise with owners, class surveyors and government bodies pertaining to project requirements.
16) Plan and schedule the testing and commissioning requirements on project basis.
17) Plan and organize all logistics requirement for major operations.
18) Ensure timely completion of project.
19) Ensure all commissioning test procedures comply with specifications, quality standards, statutory and regulatory requirements.
20) Any other assigned duties and responsibilities.
