Position Description:
The Department of Anesthesia is seeking an Anesthesiologist with interest and expertise in several important clinical areas, including ambulatory, cardiovascular/thoracic, obstetrical, neurosurgical, pediatric, regional and/or transplant anesthesia.
Education Requirement:
MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent.
Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an approved residency training program in Anesthesiology. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Iowa.
Certifications:
Candidates must be certified by the American Board of Anesthesiolo! gists or be in the certification process. On occasion, individ! uals trained outside of the United States and who are certified by an equivalent national certification group (e.g. the Royal College of Anesthetists of Canada, Australia, Ireland or Great Britain) may be considered if they possess unique skills and/or experience.
Desirable Qualifications:
Either fellowship training or equivalent clinical experience in any of the aforementioned subspecialty areas. Interest in teaching and/or basic or clinical research.
