Position Description
Provides clinical consultation and support to customers for pulmonary transcatheter p! roducts. Customers may include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, radiology technicians and cath lab/operating room personnel. Promotes the adoption of new technologies and provides clinical consultative support for device use. Assists in device related clinical study activities.
Position Responsibilities
1. Provides clinical consultation to achieve therapy adoption
Serves as trusted technical expert for pulmonary transcatheter products
Is present in a consultative role at implants.
Provides expert advice regarding past implant experience.
2. Customer Education
Consults with physicians to identify training needs.
Trains customers on the safe and efficacious use of pulmonary transcatheter products.
Provides technical explanation and demonstration of products to customers.
Consults with physicians prior to and during product usage or implant.
Participates as a trainer in planned customer educati! on programs.
Serve as an expert on the Melody TPV simulato! rs â" including set-up, demonstrations and trouble shooting
Delivers on-site training sessions and in-services for customers
Helps develop education materials.
Provides troubleshooting and complex problem solving.
Supplies on-call technical support as needed.
Frequently interacts with cardiac surgeons, interventionalists, anesthesiologists, OR and cath lab nursing, radiology technicians, physician assistants, etc.
Proctoring and co-hosting cadaver, animal and wet labs as required
Assists with the requirements of any post market studies regarding advice on data collection and completion.
3. Customer Support
Work with marketing on the development of effective education and referral events
4. Medtronic Employee Training/Education
Assists in training sales reps and other employees on cardiac diseases and products..
Assists in establishing sales training processes and materials.
Monitors and identifies any educationa! l needs.
Delivers training to Medtronic personnel regarding competitive products and their capabilities.
Proctoring and co-hosting cadaver, porcine and wet labs
5. Administrative Responsibilities
Submits accurate and timely reports to management on a monthly basis regarding travel and support rendered.
Supports clinical study compliance requirements.
Completes expense reports with necessary documentation.
Schedules travel arrangements to ensure multiple objectives are accomplished.
Comes to cases prepared with appropriate products and clinical literature.
Balances administrative duties with other job responsibilities.
Maintain certification eligibility; CME/CEU requirements
Identifies and Maintains all requirements for various hospital credentialing.
6. Product and Market Development
Gathers and communicates input and feedback from the field to marketing and R&D; marketing trends, customer satisfaction, competiti! ve information, current product and new product issues.
Provides in! -depth, on-site technical support for product trial.
Provides clinical support in the development of marketing materials.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Off label product knowledge and discussions.
Triage of OMA requests from customers
OMA presentations as required.
Basic Qualifications
Associate degree and 5 + OR Bachelorâs degree and 3+ years clinical or sales experience in an industry setting; selling or supporting interventional cardiology, vascular or surgical related products.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Endovascular experience â" specifically Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Thoracic Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (TEVAR)
Cardiac surgery experience
Clinical trial experience with medical devices
Physician training experien! ce
Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Certified Surgical Technologist, Registered Cardiovascular Specialist
Interventional cardiac or vascular experience (wires, balloons, catheters, stents).
Cardiac surgery, Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR).
Proven medical/pharma sales record with documented growth and achievements.
Previous peer and physician education experience.
Surgical assistance or scrub experience (with industry experience).
Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiograms)
Excellent influencing and consulting skills.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Ability to communicate productâs market advantages to physicians and hospital administration.
Ability to travel with overnight stay up to 75% of the time (territory variability).
Ability to build strong relationships wi! th key therapy users and employees across organizational levels.
Ex! ceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
Ability to effectively organize and plan travel schedule with frequent last minute requests.
