This position is located at our corporate office / property Amanpuri, in Phuket, Thailand.


POSITION OVERVIEW


As Thai Head Chef of Amanpuri’s Villas you will be in charge and maintain complete control of the villa kitchens and staff; reporting to Amanpuri Executive Chef and Director of Villas.



RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities
  • Modifying menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
  • Training the kitchen staff to ensure standards are met
  • Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs
  • Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
  • Estimate food requirements and food/labor costs
  • Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
  • Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
  • Recruit and manage kitchen staff
  • Rectify arising problems or complaints
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Keep time and payroll records
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience as Sous Chef / Head Chef
  • Ability to develop unique and creative recipes and menus
  • Ability to manage multiple kitchens
  • Collaborates effectively and has strong interpersonal skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the food industry and trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
