Manufacturing facility in Mallow are currently recruiting for Production Planner.
Production Planner is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of production, ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing processes. This role involves collaborating with multiple teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and production, to plan and schedule activities related to facade manufacturing. The Production Planner will also monitor and track progress, manage resources, and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency and meet project deadlines.
The will be responsible for:
Production Planning: Develop and maintain comprehensive production plans, considering factors such as design specifications, material availability, production capacity, and project timelines.
Scheduling: Create detailed production schedules, allocating resources effectively to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to project milestones.
Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and production, to align on project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure seamless communication.
Resource Management: Monitor and allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands and optimize efficiency.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control personnel to establish and maintain quality standards, ensuring that produced facades meet specified requirements and regulatory standards.
Risk Management: Identify potential production risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them, minimizing disruptions and delays.
Performance Monitoring: Track production progress, analyze data, and generate reports to assess performance against targets, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures as needed.
Process Improvement: Continuously review production processes and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing Lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of required materials and services, while maintaining quality standards.
Health and Safety: Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment for all production personnel.
Qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in production planning or manufacturing coordination, particularly in the facade industry, is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of facade manufacturing processes, materials, and construction techniques.
Proficiency in using production planning software and tools. In particular ProdSmart
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Problem-solving abilities to address production challenges and implement solutions.
Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work within specified deadlines.
