Summary
Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Student Helper to assist with acute leukemia research.
Job Duties
- Completes all human subjects research training.
- Completes biohazard training and HIPPA training.
- Completes animal facility training.
- Conducts bench research under supervision of Research Technicians in the Stevens/Redell lab with AML cell lines and possibly patient samples depending on proficiency with cell lines.
- Assists with maintenance of the immunodeficient mouse colony.
- Assists with harvesting and banking tissue from the patient derived xenograft models.
- Assists with meticulous record keeping, write-ups, and presentation of results.
- Assists with any other research-related activities, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
- No experience required.
