Summary

Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Student Helper to assist with acute leukemia research.

Job Duties

  • Completes all human subjects research training.
  • Completes biohazard training and HIPPA training.
  • Completes animal facility training.
  • Conducts bench research under supervision of Research Technicians in the Stevens/Redell lab with AML cell lines and possibly patient samples depending on proficiency with cell lines.
  • Assists with maintenance of the immunodeficient mouse colony.
  • Assists with harvesting and banking tissue from the patient derived xenograft models.
  • Assists with meticulous record keeping, write-ups, and presentation of results.
  • Assists with any other research-related activities, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a High School or College Student (undergraduate or graduate).
  • No experience required.
