THE POSITION
This position involves working on the design of hydraulic structures for a range of hydropower and irrigation projects.
You will also be responsible for assisting with the management of projects and client relationships.
ABOUT YOU
We are interested in hearing from people who have the following:
- A BE Civil qualification or equivalent (Washington Accord)
- Experience in the design of hydraulic structures in open or closed channel flow
- Experience in support of hydropower and irrigation projects (e.g., intakes, spillways, weirs, canals, fish screens, gates) would be beneficial and/or a desire to work on the development of hydraulic structures in this area
- Experience with detailed design, tendering, contract administration and construction supervision
- Contextual understanding of other interfacing disciplines in water resource projects e.g. geotechnical, hydrology, structural
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong initiative and an openness to take on new challenges
- Some client interfacing experience and client relationship skills
- Interest in coaching and developing others
