Percent Time: 100% Type of Position Regular: A position which is considered essential for the effective long-term operation of the university. Persons appointed to this position will receive ! the privileges and benefits associated with regular employment status. Duties:
- Perform clinical anesthesia duties as assigned by the Anesthesia Clinical Director or designee, including assigned call at night, on weekends and holidays.
- To assist faculty physicians in providing for educational needs of residents, medical students and nurse anesthesia students.
- To attend continuing education conferences and seminars in order to maintain biannual re-certification through the Council on Re-certification of Nurse Anesthetists, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- To assist in quality improvement activities as designated by the Department Head or designee.
- To share responsibilities of all Department members regarding equipment and supplies, their maintenance and proper use.
- Models and promotes systems change across campus to promote professional conduct and behavior of the highest integrity, exhibiting utmost respect! for all members of the University community; demonstrates con! sistency of action purpose with unquestionable forthrightness.

- Nursing education leading to status of R.N., Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
- Special education in Anesthesia which has led to accreditation as a CRNA.
- Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current license to practice in Iowa. Desirable Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the delivery of anesthesia services as a member of an anesthesia care team.
- M.S. in Nursing or related field.
