About the role:

As Ranger (Field Services), you will be delivering a range of essential park maintenance and services to the high-quality standards we pride ourselves on. You will demonstrate a strong personal work ethic and actively participate in a team environment ensuring that the overall success of the team is a measured outcome. As part of a small, committed team you'll be helping to manage an area that contains campgrounds and an extensive network of day visitor areas, water-based facilities, walking tracks and roads which draw thousands of visitors per year. You'll also be involved in pest plant and animal management, native vegetation management, conserving cultural values, fire and emergency management, visitor engagement, and assisting with compliance activities.

We're looking for someone with:

  • The ability to operate safely and use practical skills to solve problems and maintain assets
  • Great motivation, ability to communicate well, and who enjoys engaging with community and park visitors
  • Self-management and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for future Project management tasks
  • Chainsaw and other plant and machinery qualifications desirable
