Role Purpose
Lead global insights, reporting, & analytics for third -party distribution including revenue production from online travel agencies [OTAs] like Booking.com, wholesale partners, and GDS partners
Partner with channel analytics team to help coordinate performance insight communications with senior leadership
- The role will serve as internal expert/consultant on 3rd party distribution metrics which will be used to optimize the value of our partnerships and our channel revenue mix.
- This role will partner across the organization, specifically with our insights team, to consolidate channel performance narratives shared with company leadership
Key Accountabilities
- Assist major third-party account leaders with performance analytics and growth opportunity identification
- Ensure reporting meets distribution stakeholder needs
- Develop strategies for maintaining consistent metrics, reporting, analysis, and insights to support decision making. Interact with key partners to provide data requirements
- Create the tools, models, controls, and dashboards that help us understand how customers are interacting with our third-party distributors
- Measure and analyze rate parity to ensure IHG pricing is not undercut by its online distributors. Provide actionable insights to help IHG resolve pricing discrepancies
- Build commission models for OTA partner contracts
- Ensure new OTAs have proper tracking and commission structures
- Provide actionable insights by leveraging suite of data tools while aligning with product strategy for relevance and timeliness
- Lead the refinement of segmentation through both quantitative and qualitative inputs
- Partner with key regional commercial leaders and marketing leaders to drive insights on channel growth opportunities and balance with book direct strategy
- Partner with channel analytics team to help coordinate performance insight communications with senior leadership. This could include monthly channel performance reviews, strategic documents, investor relations updates, and support of internal partner projects
- Establish and maintain documentation of data sourcing for key executive communications
- Build out and maintain governance process for channel reporting (metric definitions, usage, etc)
- Assist in adhoc project analysis as needed
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
Experience
6+ years-progressive work-related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position as well as 4+ years managing similar continuous and complex projects
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate statistical and analytical skills
- Demonstrate ability to answer key business questions by leveraging data and insights and presenting in an easy-to-understand summary
- Demonstrate experience in manipulating and combining data sources for robust analysis
- Demonstrate ability to build reports and/or provide requirements for reports (Tableau experience preferred)
- Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information for clients, vendors, and colleagues as well as communicating technical information to non-technical audiences
