Cerner’s Population Health organization is a multi-disciplinary business unit focused on enabling clients to better understand, manage and engage populations to deliver a higher quality of care at a lower cost. By developing innovative solutions that wor! k with the data from the Electronic Health Record (EHR), this ! organization helps build healthier communities, one person at a time. The Population Health business unit focuses on applying the same principles that Cerner, as a whole, has applied successfully with their hospital clients: predictive algorithms, clinical decision support and a “closed loop” health system. This approach ensures that health care facilities are delivering the best care to their patients effectively, efficiently, and rapidly. By aggregating data from multiple sources, hospitals can use this data to identify, score and predict risks, targeting population-wide health improvement campaigns and interventions. By offering a programmable health network to deploy clinical decision support to the patient and caregiver, while also monitoring individual patient conditions and the overall population status, this organization partners with our clients to deliver advanced care and lower costs as they seek to manage the health of populations.

Responsibilities !

The Population Health Sales Executive identifies and qualifies potential purchasers of process improvement, network solutions and supporting technologies (primary focus will be MPages, Infection Control, Simulations, IPOCs, Process Improvement, PowerInsight, H.I.E. and Patient connectivity) The Sales Executive is the primary marketing and sales contact; and coordinates all activities up to and including contract execution. These activities include prospecting activities, managing territory (including pipeline maintenance and territory analysis), initiating and maintaining relationships with potential and/or existing clients and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Cerner’s related solutions and of competitors.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required

Excellent written and verbal communication skill

2+ years experience selling integrated healthcare solutions

Healthcare industry knowled! ge

Strong relationship building skills

Ability to man! age multiple projects simultaneously

Proficient with Microsoft applications

Strong business acumen

Understanding of sales and marketing processes and approach

Ability to travel 80%

Able to work overtime as needed

Self-motivated and ability to multi-task

Must reside in Kansas City or surrounding community

Preferred Qualifications:
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, needing minimum direction

Experience selling and or presenting in a clinical environment

RN or CRNA certification a plus

Skills or experiences with performance improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, TQM) is preferred
